Melissa's Alchemey Review

Honestly, I have VERY mixed emotions about Alchemy.  There were dishes that were absolutely amazing and other dishes that were very disappointing.  I found myself being transported from one emotional extreme to the next over and over again during this dining experience.  Here are my concerns, there were dishes served that lacked the simplest little things like salt.  Angela’s steak was cooked to perfection but the chef put no seasoning at all on the steak.  How do you forget salt and pepper?  The Risotto had a wonderfully flavor but a terrible consistency.  If you have trouble cooking risotto, stop serving it.  On the flip side, my red snapper (by the way, red snapper is one of my least favorite fish) was amazing!  The flavor was so bold and unexpected.  The dessert, Brownie with homemade ice cream and Irish cream, brought tears to my eyes because it was so freaking good!  I would say YES try Alchemy, just be very mindful of what you order.  Overall I gave the restaurant ♪♪♪.  I say three because the food that’s good is GREAT.  The atmosphere and ambiance was eclectic, cozy and warm.
