Angela's Meet 27 American Bistro Review

Meet 27 was a different kind of dining experience than I think we are used to. It was neither bad nor good. I don’t have anything scathing to say nor do I have anything to rave about. I can say that I liked the feel of the place. It is at the corner of two streets of row-houses, bordering Remington and Charles village, giving it the look and feel of the neighborhood hang-out joint. The inside is all dark wood with big slabs of dark grey stone as flooring. The centerpiece of the restaurant is a big gorgeous bar with a large mirror that sits unused as this is a BYOB establishment. The main dining area overlooks the bar.  I think what really makes this place different from others simultaneously makes it impossible to have any coherence to its menu, and this is that the restaurant’s claim to fame is that every dish prepared here is gluten free. I had a hard time deciding what to eat here. The service was adequate. Our waiter was very nice, his service neither too slow nor too fast. I do have to say that I got the feeling that this was a place some folks might absolutely love. But other than my appreciation of the atmosphere, I cannot claim to be one of those folks. I rate this establishment ♪♪ and a half note.
