Ok whoever is running the Republic of Noodle needs to get
the troops in line. The service at this spot is HORRIBLE. We waited 15 minutes
to be acknowledged and another 15 minutes to be seated (keep in mind we had
reservations) and 15 more minutes for our orders to be taken and a half hour to
get the tea we ordered…. see the pattern? I do believe this may have been the
longest meal of my life. Incidentally, other than the wasabi eggs we ordered as
appetizers, which by the way, came before the tea, which we had to request a
second time before it was delivered to our table, the tea was the best thing on
the menu. Then for some unfathomable reason, at least one dish, per course, was
mysteriously either, in such short supply it disappeared from the premises before
the last patron left, or even more bizarre, never made it to the premises that
day at all, or even more bizarre than THAT, should never have been on the menu
to give us the impression that it would ever SEE the premise. The only thing I
can give them, and I HAVE to give them this, or else I’d just feel plain mean,
is that they were quite apologetic about every dining setback we experienced,
no matter how ridiculously frequent they occurred. I do not believe I have been
apologized to so much in one sitting in my life…<sigh>. Unfortunately I am
giving them ♪ and THAT is because, well, that is the lowest I can give
them.
