Melissa's Review of Republic Noodle

One of the most disappointing things for me is to be excited about eating somewhere only to have my hopes dashed.  I had been eyeballing the menu at Republic Noodle for many months.  I was so excited when I found a Groupon for it.  Alas, Republic Noodle not only dashed my hopes but dropped kicked them under a rock too heavy for me or anyone else in the world to move.  The service was by far the worst part of the experience.  We waited 15 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation.  After being seated we waited another 15 minutes for menus.  The waitress was very nice just completely over worked and unorganized.  She was the only waitress and the place was packed.  Being an extreme multi-tasker myself, I have to admit that even though she was the only waitress she could have done her job much more efficiently.   The food itself was also disappointing.  Noodles do not take long to cook; ours took 45 minutes and when they arrived my noodles were cold.  They had to be sent back and when they were re-served to me they were still cold.  Most of the dishes we tried lacked creativity and originality.  Usually fusion restaurants have bold and exciting flavors.  Republic Noodle fell way short.  My other major concern is that half the items we wanted to order were not available.  They had run out of the food necessary to make it.  How do you not have enough food???  The combination of terrible service and disappointing food cause me to rate Republic Noodle ♪.
